There was a heat wave in Philadelphia and surrounding area of Pennsylvania . It was so hot it has been difficult to think. Perhaps the best time to show homes was in the early mornings or evenings . It is only the beginning of June but seriously sellers it is best to have the air conditioning on. When the weather is hot you want the potential buyer to be comfortable when they walk in you home .You also want the agent to be comfortable
There is nothing worse than showing vacant or occupied homes with no air conditioning on in hot weather . I have been advising my sellers to leave the air on so the house is not stuffy or have a musty smell . In my humble opinion it is just as bad as showing a home that is unkempt, cluttered or dirty. If the buyers are uncomfortable when they walk into the home ;they are not going to stay in it long . Sellers should have their air conditioning on in their homes even when not home. Keep it cool in the summertime Stay Cool! You do not have to keep it cold but at a comfortable setting
Last week we had record breaking temperature of 96 degrees. With the humidity it felt like a 100 degrees.
A great way to beat the heat is by the pool. June has just started Many of the area pools are not opened yet . Perhaps you have your own pool to sit by and enjoy . Make it look inviting to your prospective buyers . Buy some large tropical plants and put them in nice pots around the pool area.
Check on your senior neighbors in Hot weather . Make sure they are safe .Be a good neighbor. Let's get ready for the hot days of summer .
