The minute  you walk in the door you know you are in the right place! The smell of the food at Sweet Lucy's Smokehouse over takes you..There is something for everyone on the menu! It is clean and friendly atmosphere.They give you hardy helpings and you will not walk away hungry! You order what you want find a table and they call your name when it is ready.

There is a steady stream of people but everything moves quickly.The food is finger licking good.The cornbread was excellent with small kernels of corn inside.Some of us couldn't finish our meals and had to bring it home.

Phila Pa 19114 Blizzard 2010 Hits the East Coast "Video"

Blizzard Hits Philadelphia Pa .This is the most snow that Philadelphia Pa 2010 has ever had in it's history. It has closed the entire city except for emergency workers.The last snow we had 27" which started on Friday night and ended late Saturday afternoon.

This storm which is called a blizzard started about 7:30 Tuesday evening.It gave us a short break and started up again .. Very dangerous conditions even snow plows had accidents.They closed major highway and interstate highways.Even the Pa Turnpike.They interrupted TV programs with emergency alert to tell everyone to stay off the roads ..All Schools and businesses and City governments will be closed again on Thursday to try to clear the dangerous  icy road conditions.

I took this short "video" In Delaire Landing Phila Pa 19114 a private community.We pay for our own snow removal.It is not supplied by the city. As you will see in the "video" although people were told to stay off the roads There were still cars driving. Weather is now predicting more snow Monday evening. Sure hope they are wrong.

HelpfulHannahs helpful links! help is out there!Reading how unemployment is on the rise I worry about the folks who don't know where to turn for assistance. I was in the local bank yesterday where an older woman had over drawn her checking account and had a great amount of over draft fees on her account and wanted to make payment arrangements with the bank to pay them back. There are many good hard working people out of work with not enough money to eat or pay their utility bills.Here are a few sites to help some people until they are able to get back on there feet.I hope you can pass one of these sites to someone who may find these sites helpful. RainCamp NYC 2010 : "Video" Panel of East Coast Top Bloggers helpful Tips

 

RainCamp Ncy 2010:Video panel east coast top bloggersStill recuperating from all the  super mind overload.RainCamp was fantastic.(slow on posting)It was a long drive from Philadelphia to NYC at 6 AM.We made great time until we got one city block from the hotel.Then we were lost.  Time Square was blocked off . That was where the Marriott was and all the Streets were one way.It took us several phone calls to the hotel ;but we finally got a very nice lady who stayed on the phone with us until we got to the hotel.

I have

been so stressed out the passed few weeks getting a transaction to the table I could not do anything but work on getting everything in order.The mortgage company seemed to be on mental vacation.Losing documents calling for the same things over and over.At the last minute the buyers were going to back out;but they did not .What is that saying "All's well that ends well"..Who says we have an easy job???   Now I am getting ready for RainCamp in New City the timing could not be better hope to see you there!  

Leaving Philadelphia 6 am for New York City this is so exciting!

Last month, while at REBarCamp in San Diego, I got to meet and spend some time with Dale Kreiser, eXp REalty's Washington State Broker.  He shared what their company was doing, and how well it was working for them.  When I returned to the office, I did some research on their company and their site.  I was "Blown Away" at what Glenn Sanford - Founder and CEO and their team have created!  Could this really be the Real Estate Office and Business Model of the Future for Brokerages and even the smaller Mom & Pop offices?

Here's a video clip from a discussion held at that REBarCamp in San Diego.  The topic?  What does the Real Estate Brokerage of the future look like?  It's an interesting discussion with Tom Ferry, Stefan Swanepoel, Wendy Forsythe, Sherry Chris, Dale Kreiser and others.  What is the "New" strategy or tactic?  Here's a hint of what you're about to see; The future is HERE now!

I've a strong suspicion that these guys may be onto something here...

     

So I called Dale and asked him for a "Virtual Tour" of their "Virtual Office."  He and Glenn agreed to let me share that tour with you via this recorded video.  For me personally, this was really the next best thing to actually being there.  I felt like I was there.  Now anyone that knows me well, also knows that I love all the new technology that is being introduced to our Industry, but I am also a practical person and want to be certain that this stuff really works.  Don't just tell me it does....SHOW ME!!

This video is a bit longer than I wanted, but I edited out over 40 minutes of some really great stuff I wish I could have shared with you all, maybe another time. Is this the way some Real Estate Company's and Brokerages will operate in the future?  Yes, here's one already.  Are these guys way ahead of their time?  Maybe, but after today's tour, I realized that just talking with them about it, and then visiting their website was no comparison and nothing like "virtually being there!"  I had no clue how well this was all put together.  It was nothing short of interesting, fascinating, and awesome!

Delaire Landing Torresdale Philadelphia The first Snow Day

 

 Today was a rainy day in the Torresdale section of Philadelphia that turned into the first snow day.I could not resist  grabbing my camera and taking a picture of the first snow. When I came back in I realized  I really had not captured the beauty of the first snow. So I went out on my balcony with my flip "video" and captured the huge snowflakes falling down. I live in Delaire Landing Condominiums in the Torresdale section of Philadelphia Pa.I am also a resident Real Estate agent in the development. I have been Listing and selling Real Estate for over 25 years..I hope you enjoy this short Flip "video" of the first snow flakes of December.

My Grandson was Speechless this Sunday when he saw all the birds lined up at the waterfront. It was his second visit  here in Torresdale Philadelphia 19114. He enjoyed watching the birds and feeding them. The Torresdale section of Philadelphia has many beautiful sections and homes along the river waterfront.

Some of the homes also have riparian rights

It was a beautiful sunny Wednesday in Philadelphia Pa. It was nice to take a short break at lunch. I enjoy going down to  Linden ave .It is close to my office in the Torresdale section of Phila. It is a favorite spot of mine and it seems a favorite spot of the birds also.It is a place where the Universe is  full of tranquility and I can feel relaxed..I was sorry I did not have my Flip camera with me to capture the sounds.
