Hi Hannah - Yep my Japanese maple is starting up now also. They are beautiful but very hard to trim. It can be tricky because they are so sensitive and you can do irreparable harm to them if you're not careful.

Hope your allergies are better.

Robert.... Had a beautiful one at my single home ..but now that I live in a condo the gardeners take care of them..They are so beautiful!smile

Hi Hannah, we have a Japanese Maple in front of our home and it has come in so full, red and beautiful and it's only the second year it's in!

Paul..they don't bloom here all year round.....their  form is pretty but no leavers or foliage..but truly beautiful..thank you

Hannah, it looks like the tree has a bald spot on top.  Maybe you can take some leaves and make a tree toupee.

Can you believe out weather here lately. Days of near record breaking and record breaking days, everything starting to bloom and now back to using the heat first thing in the morning to take the chill of the house. Here I dared to believe everything was going to start showing colorful.

My Japanese maple just came alive as well I thought for sure it was a goner because of the weather we had this year, Many of my other plants didn't make it.
