$8000 First time Buyers Money: info by HelpfulHannah

house moneyI know we have said this before but please stop ,think, and listen! The government is going to give a first time home buyer a check for $8000.Yes you heard me right! How often in your life do you think the government will do this? I have never seen it in my lifetime .I have lived a long life.I have been in the Real Estate Market for 25 years. My parents lived through the depression. The government never gave them money to buy a house.Never gave me money to buy a house.Buyers have a great oppurtunity here an $8000  just to go out and purchase a home before December 1 2009.You must meet certain criteria so see your local Real Estate Professional

It would be great if their were more TV ads and radio commercials.  Please take advantage of this extraordinary opportunity to own your own home. It may not be the home of your dreams but it will be a stepping stone to the future. Don't miss out ! Don't look back and say I should have, could have, would have..the time is now!

I must not be reading something right. I went on the IRS site and pulled up the form/instructions and it says credit. Am I reading it wrong?

Sally ..Well you can take it what ever way you want..if you have already filed..they will give you a check that you do not have to pay back...i guess it really is a credit..but even as a credit it is a gift..don t you think so??

Ithought ther were stipulations on how long you have to remain in the home you purchase or you have to pay part of it back.  Am I misinformed?  I agree it is still great for buyers though.

My daughter is re-filing as she blew it when filing the first time, and she is expecting a check for 8 grand...

Most buyers are misinformed about the $8000. It is best to let them go to the  hud.gov web site and read the rules.

Polls advise that many prospective first time buyers are still not familiar with the available tax credit. We need to do our best to educate the consumers. $8,000 is too much to miss!

there is so much mis information out there about this tax credit..you are right a commercial or something would be great to clear up all the misconceptions.

Hi Hannah

The $8000 first time home buyers tax credit has been a helpful tool, it comes down to use it or lose it. Now is the time to buy.

Good luck and success.
