HelpfulHannah Previews "Public Enemies" DVD new "video"

Here is a preview of a new "video" DVD"Public Enemies" just out this week.

I am home with a cold and I must say I really did enjoy this movie DVD "video" .

I rented it at my favorite Red Box for $.99  It was well worth the price :

"Public Enemies"

Starring Johnny Depp, Christian Bale, Marion Cotillard, Jason Clarke, Rory Cochran
In the action-thriller Public Enemies, acclaimed filmmaker Michael Mann directs Johnny Depp, Christian Bale and Academy Award® winner Marion Cotillard in the story of legendary Depression-era outlaw John Dillinger (Depp)—the charismatic bank robber whose lightning raids made him the number one target of J. Edgar Hoovers fledgling FBI and its top agent, Melvin Purvis (Bale), and a folk hero to much of the downtrodden public. No one could stop Dillinger and his gang. No jail could hold him. His charm and audacious jailbreaks endeared him to almost everyone—from his girlfriend Billie Frechette to an American public who had no sympathy for the banks that had plunged the country into the Depression. But while the adventures of Dillingers gang—later including the sociopathic Baby Face Nelson (Stephen Graham) and Alvin Karpis (Giovanni Ribisi)—thrilled many, Hoover (Billy Crudup) hit on the idea of exploiting the outlaws capture as a way to elevate his Bureau of Investigation into the national police force that became the FBI. He made Dillinger Americas first Public Enemy Number One and sent in Purvis, the dashing Clark Gable of the FBI. However, Dillinger and his gang outwitted and outgunned Purvis men in wild chases and shootouts. Only after importing a crew of Western ex-lawmen (newly baptized as agents) and orchestrating epic betrayals—from the infamous Lady in Red to the Chicago crime boss Frank Nitti—were Purvis, the FBI and their new crew of gunfighters able to close in on Dillinger.
I hope you enjoy the DVD "video "preview

Hannah, I was home as well but too sick to care what was on.  I think I am finally just starting to feel better and will rent this movie.  I'm surprised you can rent movies there for .99 cents....We still have Blockbuster and they're close to $6.00 here.

Hannah, Chicken soup and hot tea with too much honey. The irony of you watching a movie about a criminal that gets shot coming out of a movie. Thanks for sharing

I haven't seen this one yet, but as a fan of gangster movies, I'm sure I will at some point.

Hannah - I love everything with Johnny Depp in it, so this is on my list for sure!  Thanks for the review.

Carole - You should try Netflix if you don't have redbox.  $6 is way too much!
