Phila Pa 19114 Blizzard 2010 Hits the East Coast "Video"

Blizzard Hits Philadelphia Pa .This is the most snow that Philadelphia Pa 2010 has ever had in it's history. It has closed the entire city except for emergency workers. The last snow we had 27" which started on Friday night and ended late Saturday afternoon.

This storm which is called a blizzard started about 7:30 Tuesday evening. It gave us a short break and started up again .. Very dangerous conditions even snow plows had accidents. They closed major highway and interstate highways.Even the Pa Turnpike. They interrupted TV programs with emergency alert to tell everyone to stay off the roads ..All Schools and businesses and City governments will be closed again on Thursday to try to clear the dangerous  icy road conditions.

I took this short "video" In Delaire Landing Phila Pa 19114 a private community. We pay for our own snow removal. It is not supplied by the city. As you will see in the "video" although people were told to stay off the roads There were still cars driving. Weather is now predicting more snow Monday evening. Sure hope they are wrong.

Hanna - it would appear that you have all of our normal snow fall we would normally have a lot more than the six inches or so that are sitting on our lawn right now.

Hannah, I can't believe this! I just heard another storm is on the way for Monday!

Hannah, the storm stayed south of us, hugging the Long Island shore line. We only hd about 4" but along the shore, some areas got over 12". We're stuck with the cold, but it doesn't hurt as much as the back from shoveling.

Hannah- The world is watching our snow plight. I am not sure if that is supposed to make us feel better!

Hi Hannah,

Lots of snow. A very good video showing your conditions there. As a kid living back East, as I recall, these were common scenes. I think this year's snow is more prolific than in past years. In the spring, I expect we also hear that the rain levels also increase over past years.

Hannah, I hope you are digging your way out from under the snow.  We were supposed to get at least a half foot and only had 1 inch.  I'm disappointed - I love a good blizzard and this winter has been rather dry.

Hey, Hannah - Since you are so helpful, why the heck aren't you out there helping to remove snow from the streets and sidewalks? LOL.

I was all nice and warm after getting up from a catnap, little Zoey the Cool Cat on my lap, and now I suddenly feel a cold chill. I wonder what has caused it. Maybe a snow video? LOL

Paul ,...I was only teasing you ...sorry if you took me serious ...:0)

Russel...How do you like all this snow...I don't like shoveling ..That is why I moved into a Condo...If this keeps up I may think of moving to a warmer climate...

Hannah, There are always those few that must be on the roads no matter what. I enjoyed seeing all the snow in your video from a distance (like from my chair in Texas)! :)
