Friday's Foto: Ms Dove Philly's New Neighbor 19114. Ms Dove's egg has hatched and she is keeping him warm and feed. Mr. Dove was sitting on the railing earlier and that is when I noticed the basket had an addition. I quickly got my camera and took this picture for Friday's foto. Ms Dove Philly's new neighbor was a little ruffled when I held up the camera ;but Ms Dove sat tight. This photo was taken on my balcony at Delaire Landing located in Philadelphia  19114

Oh Hannah,

What a wonderful blessing that must be to see that mama bird and her baby hatch right before your very eyes! That has to be thrilling! And you get to photograph and record the miracle of that little bitty bird. It will be fun to watch it as it learns to fly and leave the nest. For now, continue to capture all the beautiful moments!

Congratulations on having this featured on the Feathered Nest Group! I think it's a perfect Feature!!! You deserve it!

Hannah--Doves are my favorite.  I was showing houses today and saw one sitting up on the ledge/window sill of a two story home.  I am sure she was starting a nest there!  Great photos!

Beautiful pictures Hannah, how did you get so close? I have a bird's next right outside the office, but have not been able to see the chick, it is a small bird that makes a next that looks like a long sock, I guess when the chick comes out, flys and that is it! Thanks for sharing

Hannah, great photos, they are really great birds.  We have some in our neighborhood and when you hear them coo or singing as I call it the sound is delightful.
