AMC Woodhaven 10 "33" Now Playing Relax and Recline

33 was a movie I was not expecting to enjoy after reading reviews  I was pleasantly surprised  Yes the World was watching but only because the families were not giving up  It seemed to me  That the big mining companies would have left them down there

If not for the love of Family and the Minister of Mining all would of been lost  The miners faith in each other family and God  This is what  got them through extraordinary circumstances that most people will never live through . The Word was watching and people from all over the world came to help .

I read where the movie should have been in subtitles because the Chilean accents were not good enough . Well I am not an expert in accents Emotions were eminent  and expressed  and that what was important to me Quite frankly I would have not enjoyed the movie in subtitles . I even heard a critic say Minions were understandable  I do not know how you could compare this movie to Minions

It was an emotional movie and taken from true events . It was five years ago . Time sure goes quickly these days .May not be an Oscar winner but was very well portrayed and I was glad I saw the movie as it was very good  The movie was two hours long and I was never bored not for a second  Very emotional  Made you laugh and made you cry

Hi Hannah -- I like your candid review of the movie "33" ---- I actually thought it had been longer than five years ago but I do recall this event as it was unfolding.

Michael Jacobs  i know you like foreign films but I think subtitles would have taken away from this movie + it wasn't a foreign film so why make it one

Thanks for your input always appreciated

I agree that I think emotions can carry a movie without subtitles or even accents and convey the message.

Hannah,

We saw the previews to the film, and it looked good to me.  Thanks for your review.

I have never minded subtitles, except those in French.  I get quite annoyed with the translations being sugar coated or incorrect.  LOL A

Hannah sometime we get a pleasant surprise, and you can not always count on the critics to give a fair review.

It has to be a very emotional movie. I cannot imagine living through what these brave men lived through.

Thanks for the review Hannah. My dad was a coal miner from age 12 to 50 .. it is hard work, and he loved it.  Will definitely see the movie.

Hi, Hannah...I will certainly consider your review, but I'm still not sure I want to see this movie. Up until your review I was sure I didn't want to see it, but now I could be persuaded.

Hi there Hannah.  I read the book Deep Down Dark which was written by a Latino journalist who interviewed all of the men after they were rescued and it was incredibly compelling-especially finding out where they are today!
